Thank you for commenting on my post :)

Thank you for the link to the article, it was very interesting. I have to totally disagree though on "Just keep it to three links a week; any more and you'll alienate followers who already know about your work or couldn't care less. " if you link to the same thing over and over and over again yes I think that would be applicable but not if it is to different things. My opinion. I don't think there are statistics out there yet to say that for sure one way or another

I agree with Bill, you can certainly employ strategies to get more click-throughs, but there needs to be something substantive and compelling once they land there. Bland reiterations of your selling points won't accomplish that. The more personal and interesting you make your blog, the longer people will stay on your page, and you will have made an enduring impression. I think the real challenge is how to be provocative and engaging without alienating potential fans and guests.

I agree that her advice will increase your traffic and click-through rate. I just have a problem with writers focusing on those concepts when in my opinion you get more readable copy if you keep your blog personal and focus on your passions. I don't like blog and twitter posts which are repetitive and read like ads. Remember that we're the new media. Our traffic is immediate (like your comment), personal and on topic.

I don't quite understand I'm afraid, where it says "I realized in one word what happens when people follow this advice. That one word is, as my wise little granddaughter Taylor would say: “boring”." are you saying you don't agree with forfeng's advice or you do, because later on you said you agree, could you just please clarify what you meant?
